Since I landed in America I have been having a bit of a struggle adapting to a different lifestyle, a different way of living and eating. Long distances, cities full of SAD food and gyms crowed with machines. I finally found a proper place to train strength and conditioning with weights. I thought that the topic of emotional therapy will fit perfectly in my next blogpost.
When I landed, the first thing I did was to ask my mom where were my old books? I left mostly spiritual books when I moved to Vienna. The first book that came up was Anatomy of the Spirit from Caroline Myss, a must-read book if you are interested in holistic medicine and health. I almost finish it and it reminded me that I had this pending blog about how beneficial is sometimes to train. If you agree sometimes we just need to move that energy out of our body. That is why I found a great release when I used the medicine ball for a core workout. It made my core stronger and my energy free.
FITNESS TIP: MEDICINE BALL WORKOUT FOR EMOTIONAL THERAPY
The wall ball is a great training for your torso, this simple exercise will make sweat and strong. You will work your quadriceps and shoulders, but basically whole body.
You will start as a front squat and will follow to push press to throw the ball to the wall, rebounding back to you to catch and squat. Remember to breathe properly and you will soon master and enjoy the wall ball move. If you increase the weight you challenge the breath, the technique, balance and muscles. I love the wall ball because this move includes two of the basic movements.
